  Welcome to the Northside
Baptist Church Web Site

If you are new to the Valdosta area, let us be among the first to welcome you. In today’s transitional world, we see many people coming and going on a regular basis. But don’t let that stop you from visiting our church.
At Northside, you will experience a warm fellowship which provides opportunities for social interaction and spiritual growth and education for all ages. We are a church with staff members who specifically minister to every age group. So whether you are investigating the truths of Jesus Christ or someone who has faithfully walked with Him for years, you are welcome at Northside Baptist Church.

Frequently Asked Questions pertaining to Northside Baptist Church:
bulletDo you have contemporary or traditional worship?  We have relevant worship at Northside with a blended style. The blend is an intentional endeavor to meet the needs of many, rather than focus on one particular style. If you visit one week and you did not experience the style you were looking for, just come back next week and you may find it then. More than anything we want to point people to worship God and experience His love.
bulletWhat should I wear?  The Sunday morning dress style is something that ranges from one’s Sunday best to casual and comfortable dress. Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings are always casual. Don’t worry about what you will wear when you come, just come!
bulletWhen should I arrive?  We have two Sunday School and two worship hours. For those early morning folks, our first Sunday School begins at 8:25 a.m. with the 9:40 a.m. worship hour to follow. The second Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m. and the 11:00 a.m. worship hour follows. As a general rule, it is always a good idea to arrive a few minutes early so we can greet you and get you where you need to be.
bulletWhere should I park?  We have over 200 parking spaces on our campus. That is usually enough for most Sundays but if you cannot find a space, we have auxiliary parking at several doctors offices around the campus. The east side parking lot closest to the sanctuary is specially reserved for guests.
bulletWhere would my children go?  We have a Sunday School class for every age group. From a nursery area to preschool, children, youth, college-aged, singles and all adult ages, we a have a Sunday School class for everyone. During the worship hours, we encourage parents of infants and preschoolers to take advantage of the extended care available. For children ages five through second grade, our children’s pastor provides a relevant, age-appropriate worship experience. If you have questions about children or preschoolers, feel free to email your questions to nbc@nbcvaldosta.org or contact Chip Fuller, our minister of education at chip@nbcvaldosta.org.

Common Concerns About Larger Churches
bulletAren't all large churches unfriendly?  Certainly not! Northside is a friendly fellowship, and we have many guests each week. We would love for you to be one of them.
bulletWon't I get lost in the crowd in a big church?  Only if you choose to do so. We are big enough to allow you to keep your anonymity, but have small groups to allow you to develop close, meaningful relationships as well.
bulletDoes a big church really need my help in ministry?  Of course we do! The larger the church, the more volunteer personnel we need to continue to grow. We always need more workers for the great harvest God wants to reach.
bulletCan I trust what is preached and taught?  Absolutely! We base our preaching and teaching on God’s Word, the Bible, and strive to make it relevant to your life today.
bulletCan I have a personal visit from a staff member or other leader to answer any questions?  Just let us know when we can come!  Or perhaps you would like to set up a time to visit in the office and have a tour of the church. Just contact us at nbc@nbcvaldosta.org and we will be in touch.
