Early Childhood Substitute Teachers

Early Childhood (babies - Kindergarten) Substitute Teachers are a vital part of our ministry. Substitute teachers fill in for teachers who have to be out or in classrooms that do not have regular teachers. We ask that subs commit to one or two weeks per month. They don’t go in the same classroom each week but if they have an age preference we try to accommodate the preference.

For the safety of our students, we perform a background check on all volunteers serving with the students at Northside.

West Africa Mission Teams

In 2008, Northside adopted the Galambi people group in West Africa and committed to befriend, share Jesus Christ and minister to these people until a church was established in their territory.  Northsiders make several mission trips each year to continue this commitment.  You can support this effort by personnally going on a trip to share Jesus Christ with the Galambi people or through prayer  and financial support.  Your personal involvement in any of these ways is important.  Orientation and Training is required before you can make a personal visit.

Honduras Mission Teams

Northside has a special bond with the Orphanage Emmanuel in Guaimaca, Honduras.  We make several mission trips each year to minister in various ways that include activities in everything from facility construction to medical care.  Again, you can support this effort by personally going on a trip to share Jesus Christ or through prayer  and financial support.
