| In our fast paced world, an ever
increasing portion of our society is single. The most recent census
indicates that almost 2/3 of the households surrounding
Northside Baptist Church are single
adults. Northside is committed to seeing single adults come to a saving
knowledge of Jesus Christ and then grow in their relationship to Him.
The apostle Paul encouraged the church at Philipi to make his joy
complete by “being like minded, having the same love, being one in
spirit and purpose.” That is our goal, to be single minded. To set our
sights on Jesus Christ and His plan for our life and never look back.
We do our best to not be distracted by the things of this world knowing
that God is already working out His very best for us. There is so much
that attempts to pull us away and distract us that we try to be
proactive in maintaining that “single mindedness”. We host an annual
single's conference, spring retreat, and fellowships throughout the year
that are too numerous to mention. If you are a single adult, whether by
choice, divorce, or death of a spouse, we have a place for you where you
will experience unconditional love and acceptance. This is not a dating
circle. We are singles committed to the great commission and the
discipleship of one another. There are few Christians who can be as
flexible in their response to the Great Commission as single adults.
Young people must complete schooling; married adults must consider their
spouses and children, but a committed single adult in the hands of God
holds limitless possibilities. Come discover your potential in Christ
and find a church to call home at the same time. |
