 Are You Curious About a Commitment to Jesus Christ?

 

It could be that you are curious about having a spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ, but no one has explained to you exactly how to make that commitment.  Becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ doesn't just happen by attending church services or deciding to start living a good life.  Furthermore, you don't become a Christian by just mentally accepting the teachings of Jesus Christ or by being around Christians.


To become a Christian you must recognize that:

1. God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life (John 10:10).
2. Your sins, however, have separated you from a Holy God (Romans 3:23).  Without          acknowledging your sins. you will die in them (Romans 6:23).
3. God has made a provision for your sins to be forgiven through His unique Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:16; Romans 5:8; II Corinthians 5:21).
4. You must respond to this provision by turning from your sins, and asking Jesus Christ to be the spiritual leader of your life (Romans 10:9).
 

When this happens, you will receive God's gift of eternal life.  In fact, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13)!  Would you like to make this decision?  If you sense God leading you in this direction, you may wish to talk to a pastor, Sunday School teacher, or a trusted Christian friend.  They will be delighted to lead you in a prayer of commitment to Jesus Christ.
